I got the inspiration for the card from page 42 of the January-June Mini Catalog and decided to use if for this month's team swap card.
I started with a base of Old Olive cardstock and then used a piece of the New Horizon 6x6 Designer series paper. This DSP is one of my favorites because it makes beautiful backgrounds for any card design. I embossed the DSP using the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder (retiring), and then I used a blending brush and Old Olive ink to highlight the embossed places on the paper. I used another small piece of the designer series paper for the sentiment. I stamped a sentiment from the On the Horizon stamp set and the birds using Memento Black ink.
I wanted to carry some of the tree design to the inside of the card so I also embossed the Basic White cardstock using the same embossing folder, the blending brush and the Old Olive ink.
The sentiment for the inside is from the Honeybee Home stamp set and also stamped with Memento Black ink.
