I just love the Oceanfront stamp set and am so glad that it is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog. This set gives you dramatic looking cards with not much effort. Every time I make a card with this set, I am immediately transported in my mind to my favorite ocean spot and can almost hear the sea birds calling!
For this card, I used a base of Soft Suede with coordinating layers of Balmy Blue and Basic White. The sky is stamped in Balmy Blue ink and the water is stamped using Night of Navy (stamped off). I stamped the sand image with Crumb Cake ink and added the "dots" in Soft Suede. The reeds and grasses are also stamped in Soft Suede ink.
I added the birds with Memento Black ink and stamped the sentiment from the Let's Set Sail stamp set in Night of Navy ink.
I added some more of the reeds and grass to the inside of the card on Basic White cardstock to help tie the inside and outside together. This is a nice card for anyone but it is an especially nice masculine card for any occasion.
