Soft Seedling Technique Card

I featured this pretty card in a recent card class to demonstrate the baby wipe technique. This technique has been around for a while but it's a great way to get a different look on your cards using one stamp and several ink colors at the same time.

I started with a Cherry Cobbler base and then added a layer of Sahara Sand cardstock that had been embossed with the new Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder. I die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Scalloped Contour dies.

To achieve the colors on the leaves, I took a regular baby wipe and put drops of Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight ink refills on the baby wipe. I placed the stamp onto the inked baby wipe and stamped to get this pretty effect. I stamped the sentiment in the same way. I finished off the front of the card with a simple bow using the Bakers Twine Essential Pack.

Here are the measurements and supplies to create this card.

8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Cherry Cobbler Base

5 1/4 x 4 Sahara Sand Layer (embossed with Leaf Fall folder)

Basic White for die cutting

5 1/4 x 4 Basic White for the inside of the card
